The original Scott Pilgrim comics were an action-packed comedy with a ton of heart that was so popular that it even got a film adaptation before the comics wrapped up.but by doing this, some of the more meaningful parts had to be cut out because they didn't exist yet.

While Scott Pilgrim has been in multiple epic fights across different mediums, his most anticlimactic Evil Ex battle in the film originally had way more meaning in the source material.
